The commercial decision to bailout of Hol is probably beyond question. However, CDI did squat to improve things both with the Hol facility and with lobbying efforts in CA. Uncle Tom had an aversion to being politically active and when he did get the urge they did it with one arm tied behind their back. Their departure did not enhance the situation in CA by any means.

Looking back CDI should have been able to grab both SA & GP and wound up with Hol & Crc. They also got nosed at the wire on FG by MEC who weren't even a player until the last 1/16. They sold their soul to the Devil instead of setting up their own ADW. Lots of coulda / woulda scenarios.
