Let me say that I am a fan of compugen and only have high hopes for our investments with the company and its success. I do find it "strange" however that Cantor initiated coverage on the stock in July with a buy and a target of $5-6. Then about a month later Cantor is the sales agent listed for the potential new offering and will financially benefit by the sale and the price of the stock at the time of the sale. In my mind this seems like a conflict or at a minimum the perception that the initiation by Fizgerald had other motives. I still love the Company but the Fitzgerld coverage seems tarnished and that it was intended for them to have an inside track on a potential offering and to see a price increase (which is great) but which directly benefited Cantor. Is that kosher? Anybody have a different read?
