Ah, the stories I could tell you about the people in this organization would curl your hair. I have nothing against the pawn lending side of the business, but the payday lending piece is truly shameful. Senior executives spend hours and hours in meetings trying to figure out how to get around the lending laws of the states in which they operate. They keep trying to push through legislation that would allow them to operate like a bank. Every time they have a meeting with a legislative representative said representative receives a big fat campaign donation check for 5k. My understanding is that every executive in their HQ gets a nice friendly shakedown from their immediate supervisor on why they need to sign up for a payroll deduction for their Political Action Committee (where the above mentioned "contributions" come from). What I find really hilarious though, is that on any given day, you'll find bible study meetings going on in the buildings unused conference rooms. The topic must be "who would Jesus rob?
