Former CNW line driver 2004 to 2007 and now I am a line driver for SAIA. Listen, for any freight company to turn ANY sort of profit in these economic conditions is a oustanding accomplishment. Alot of customers are asking for shipping discounts from CNW, ODFL, and SAIA because YRCW is doing anything it can to keep customers from going with someone else. Drivers typically have worked for several LTL companys, we all know each other and talk about whats going on. Our sales people are handing out some discounts, but tonnage is slowly picking up. I see what comes across the dock and believe me things are much better than 9 months ago.
