China is to pay dearly for having been on the wrong track - since 1989 officially (the Tiananmen Square Crackdown, ordered by Deng Xiaoping), simply because no country can trade its own national interest and loot its own people to prosperity.

I asked on EJ board on 10-Sep-08, "In the light of economic crises, does anyone think we have been on the right track? If not, what can be expected of our student - China? Is there any reason for Wall Street to do the right things in China but make messes at home??"

In short, 30 years ago China was a self-sufficient economy with universal education, health care, housing, etc. Now that Deng and his successors have transferred 70% of China's national wealth to 0.4% of the population, the vast majority (> 1 billion) of their citizens (Han nation) are left to sweatshops, etc., depending largely on foreign capital and markets. Even workers' right to strike has been taken away since the Tiananmen Square Crackdown in June 1989, which Deng ordered to protect his corrupted son, et al.

All in all, the so-called China Economic Miracle or China Model is perhaps the worst case of ruthlessly CHEATING AND LOOTING the many to enrich the few, going backward against human civilization. (See the following post for glimpse of sweatshops in China today)

The 21st century is a century for China – to be broken up (in one way or another) into several pieces, if not more. When trading China stocks, one should always keep an eye on international politics & what's really going on in China, and keep in mind the possibility of a regime change that has long been in the making. I reiterate what I said on PTR board before (linked below):

"Pricing oil is mostly, if not all, about politics; pricing China stocks is entirely about politics and beyond."
