The volume has really fallen off in this stock. What I'm wondering is when Yahoo Finance will update the earnings numbers to reflect the third quarter data. Does anybody know how long it takes Yahoo Finance to update the quarterly earnings reports and the P/E ratio?

As to when it will hit $10 a share I would think in January 2010.

Let's also remember that since Boise has been paying off it's debt and restructuring it's debt, it is paying less interest each quarter. The amount of interest that it paid on debt in Q3_2009 was six million less than the interest it paid in Q3_2008. The results of the debt restructuring were not included in the Q3_2009 numbers.

Also keep in mind that some of the Alternative Fuel Tax Credits that Boise applies for and is approved for in Q4_2009 will not be paid until Q1_2010. So, while the tax credits are scheduled to end at the end of 2009, we really won't see how good Boise does without the tax credits until they report their Q2_2010 numbers. Please note that they first applied and were approved for the tax credits in Q1_2009, but did not see any of the money until Q2_2009.

Their gross revenue from Q2_2009 to Q3_2009 increased by 6%, while their costs only increased by 4%. In the conference call Boise's CEO said that they have been steadily improving their paper margins since Q2_2008. He said it hasn’t been quite that steady a ride on the packaging side, largely because Boise includes newsprint there, but that also has shown a really nice trend line.
