Sorry for the rehash of this topic. In the message board I found that many others had mentioned how Fidelity was showing this BGF conversion to BGS + showing the bonds/senior notes. However, I used IB (Interactive Brokers) for the BGF trade and I had 125 shares of BGF purchased through them. I can't understand the transaction that went through with that conversion. To summarize, what I see is that my 125 shares of BGF that was valued at $1895, ( $15.16 per share) on 10/29/2009 got converted to 125 shares of BGS for a total value of $985 ( $7.88 per share). I also see that I was given an ordinary divident of $38.50 on 10/30/209. Apart from that I don't see any thing else, no bonds / senior notes or anything like that. So, in essence, $1,895 got converted to $985+38.50 = $1,023.50. Am I missing something ? Below is what IB shows in the statement. If anyone can help me understand this I would really appreciate it.
