president obama just signed the bill that will extend the NOL carryback period up to 5 years. according to my math, that means obama just signed a $200 million check that will be mailed to Beazer. This $200 million will go through the income statement as a tax benefit given the related deferred tax asset was previously written-off. further, the section 382 limitation is n/a to NOL carrybacks. This is something like $2/sh in cash.

Why isn't this in the news? why doesn't the company issue a press release? and who is the yahoo from yahoo who authored that terrible article about home buyer credits being priced into the stocks which are now selling off even though they are rising today who didn't mention peep about this matter? for all those who think this stuff is priced into stocks, I say that is the easy random walk answer. apparently people cannot read financials or understand tax law and this will not come out until the company spoon feeds it to the investment world.
