Yesterday's earnings come out and the stock sells off, only to rise sharply after the conference call. Hmmmmm. Yes, the company's business is in the toilet. But it's hardly non-existant. If we get a reduction in gas and oil reserves we could see an uptick in drilling activity.
It finally sold off yesterday at the end of the day and finished essentially unchanged.
Then today.....whoosh. I suspect this is profit taking. I bought in around the low $6's and still have a 15-20% profit which I think I will not cash in yet.

BAS is cheapo, mundo right now...though I think the market will continue to trend down over the next several weeks. Maybe we get a Santa Claus rally.
Earnings season is coming to a close and after that what is there to buoy stocks?

I think we go back to the 9000 (Dow) and 900 (S&P) then get news of another stimulus package. If healthcare reform is jammed through we could see even lower stock averages. JMHO. anyone else care to opine?
