People may not make it a point to look hard at it but biases do exist in the corporate world; if not profoundly, at least at a sub-conscious level. Those who are engaged in world class organizations with global presence may find the influence of local cultures, and in India this includes a bias towards women as a weaker section of the society. Broadridge aims at eliminating the scope of such biases all-together, and we are all together in the exercise. Policies of inclusivity do not just exist, but are practiced all along to enhance associate experience and active engagement. As the percentage of women in the workforce is increasing every year, organizations and the associates that make it up should be made aware of why it is important to create a gender inclusive work place to all.

I am associated with Broadridge for more than 8 years. My experiences have been enriching over the past years from being an associate, leader, mentor, manager etc. But before I say that inclusivity is everyone’s responsibility, I would like to step back and share few of my childhood experiences.
