How is Buffet able to buy Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Corporation at such a discount to the company's enterprise value?
The company's enterprise value (market cap + long term debt - cash) is about $42 billion. Berkshire is paying way below this amount. The enterprise value is supposed to be the real economic value of the company, taking into account long term debt and cash. In other words, the dollar amount to buy the company outright. What do you guys think? Rating :
