Shea and the Board do not have any idea how to run a company. However, I give them credit for getting Goldman Sachs and a bunch of other investors to buy 10 million shares this summer. This money buys Bowne a fair amount of time. Time for what I am not sure.

What do these investors see?

5 years of progressively worse perfromance and bad acquisitions. Bowne is not in any growth markets, has lost talent, has a mgt team that has proven to be weak and lastly the entire enitity has shown no ability to grow profitably for 10 years. This company is not a vicitm of the economy. They are a victim of incompetence at the top for 20 years plus. Not sure which is weaker, the Board or the mgt team.
