CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- Two companies say they've begun producing wind energy at three new wind farms in Wyoming.

PacifiCorp -- a subsidiary of MidAmerican Energy, which is a unit of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. -- says it recently brought two new wind farms on line in Albany and Carbon counties near the town of McFadden.

The High Plains wind project consists of 66 turbines with a total generating capability of 99 megawatts. The McFadden Ridge I project consists of 19 turbines with a total generating capability of 28.5 megawatts.

The power will feed the utility's integrated system in seven western states.

Near Cheyenne, Duke Energy Corp. recently brought its new Silver Sage wind project on line. The 42-megawatt project is located next to Duke's 29-megawatt Happy Jack wind farm.

Duke says it's selling power from the Silver Sage wind farm to Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power and Colorado-based Platte River Power Authority.
