Boy! it was a beautiful trip through the mountains the last few days. Some of the best color in three years. Two years ago the color was just mediocre. One year ago it was not bad at all considering the 'drought' situation we had. And this year it was spectacular!

You know...? This perfectly correlates with the regrowth of the Arctic ice sheet. From know on let it be known that more fall color in NC perfectly correlates with forcing more growth of Arctic ice. (Pardon me while I apply for millions of dollars of government money for more proof of my theory...).

We send all of our hard earned (or printed) money out of the country to buy oil AND we now send the same money out to buy Chinese windmills. I thought we were looking for energy independence and preserving American cash?

Not only that, but our own manufacturers and windmill buyers can't get the Obama stimulus money they need because our bank credit rules have tightened, we can't get enough subsidies to make windpower profitable and we can't even economically justify large windfarms as easily because the demand for power has dropped so precipitously the last few years.

We (our administration) can't seem to get out of its own way without tripping over itself with seriously convoluted and conflicting laws and actions. Meanwhile the Chinese have discovered a way to take our stimulus money directly from us while providing the same results that the administration has struggled so mightily to do just for the US itself.

Are we screwed up or what?
