I guess the only response would be - "WHY would you save Borders?" - they have done nearly everything they could to ruin the business model they created, so why should they remain a publicly traded company? Taken private, they might be able to dump enough overhead to be a (much smaller) player for a few more years. At best.
A2 (the Center of the Universe) should remember Borders for what it was, and let go of what they want it to be.
