This really happened yesterday. If you don’t believe it, I really don’t blame you, I probably wouldn’t either.

I work first shift and there is a guy that comes in and works second shift with whom I talk with from time to time. Poor fellow is a screaming liberal…but a nice enough guy when he’s not talking about single payer health care. Gets his news from Jon Stewart and Bill Maher. You know the type…very tolerant as long as you agree with him.

I normally have some type of background on the desktop of my computer that has quotes from the constitution, or the Declaration of Independence, or perhaps Jefferson, Madison, Washington etc….you get the picture. Yesterday it happened to be the same quote as I posted as a reply to one of Wizzo’s posts. “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. “

My co-worker read this and I actually could see him turning red and getting angry. He looks at me and says.”Why weren’t they writing stuff like this when Bush was president!!?” I quietly said to him, “That’s from the Declaration of Independence, it was written over 200 years ago.”

I ain’t makin this up. Analysis anyone?
