yourallineed90, before you condem a person who put their time into a company and assume that they "got away with crap" one must consider a few things.

First, the time they put into the company and the crap they delt with while
working for said company.

Youralli must either work for yourself or not work in the corporate environment to make irrational somewhat emotional comments as you did in your post.

15 years is a long time to put into any company. Targeting is a way of life in these companies. Vacation bennies and pay all play a part in what they can trim.

As for "they did me a favor",
believe me, in many cases most employees feel exactly that. The world doesn't revolve around Baxter. There are other companies (not many these days) out there who actually care about their employees.

This company like all companies doesn't care about saving lives, they only care about money and making shareholders happy.
Oh, I forgot about top exectutive bonuses too. They care about that.

As a consumer it doesn't seem to bother you that they have had problems with pumps and that they bought Heperin raw material from a cheaper Chinese source instead of a more reliable more expensive source.

If I had a child who was dependent on Baxter products I know I would be concerned knowing the above.

Finally, it is never what you know that saves your career. It is who you know and what they can do for you that gets you to the top.
The good ole boys are alive and well in this corporate culture.
