It doesn't seem that the press release is that optimistic.

Patient volumes remain reduced and per fee decreased. Meanwhile, there is a complete unknown as to whether various healthcare proposals debated in our legislative branch will reduce payments for different procedures.

While AMS could be seen as undervalued (and I believe it is) as it was priced to absorb worst possible scenarios given all the potential benefits they may gain from the company's deliberate focal shift to PBRT therapies, I'm surprised the stock moved today rather than many months ago.

Is it all because of the New York cancer center's initial discussions with American Shared, and I assume Varion, to place a 3-room treatment center in one of it's hospitals (or a grounds nearby)? The cost of this is 150,000,000.00 or so. Won't this just cause AMS to have to leverage more and more at a time when investors are skittish about overleveraged companies?

Sorry for my ignorance, but how does AMS fit into the development of these systems? Are they simply financing them, or providing technological and structural guidance on how to implement and operate these systems?
