AMD Q409 guidance is up modestly. Intel outlook is approximately 7% up.Your forecast for graphics is too high. Rivet said during the Q3 cc that “the big quarter for graphics is the third”. Graphic segment Q309 revenues were $306 million so your estimate of $400 million is more than $100 million too high. According to the Yahoo analyst survey AMD is forecast to have $1.47 billion revenues and 17 cent per share loss which will amount to approximately $120 million loss. Going into the Q110 though according to Fudzilla AMD is planning layoffs anticipating that AMD will have nothing to compete with Intel 32nm chips "and it will be next to impossible for AMD to make money in 2010".
AMD will have their AMD 2009 Financial Analyst Day this coming week.

Rivet comments during the Q309 conference call:
“You know if you kind of again go back, let’s just talk about seasonality in general and then get into specifics. But in typical seasonality mode, microprocessors lead. They have the strongest growth rate from third to fourth. The big quarter for graphics is the third. Now as Derrick kind of outlined, we’re not sure we’re exactly normal yet. I would say that trends. But we don’t think that will break the trend in the fourth quarter. We expect CPU revenues to be stronger than GPU between the two pieces.”
