Meeting went well. The official part of the meeting went 8 minutes with a 20 minute presentation and Q&A period. No fireworks. Tough economic environment and the company has laid off some production people. Some other people are on 4 day work week to control costs. Marketing and R&D spending is being maintained to position company for quick recovery.

They opened up some of the training rooms for a Show and Tell of the products. I found that interesting. I was somewhat familiar with the Test and Measurement stuff. I found the printing technologies in the Label systems groups to be cool. The older products use Colored Tape instead of Toner or Ink heads that are in normal printers. I also found it interesting that the Ruggedized printers still use Thermal Paper.

I have always liked the way Ondis runs the company. I feel that there is no waste. I like that even in the Annual report there is no color glossies. Why waste money on that?


The Company is on sale right now. It trades at 75 cents on the dollar to its book value. It has $3/ share in cash equivalents and only trades at $5.75. You basically getting the company for $2.75 a share!

I would love to see the company buy back stock, but I have the feeling they are looking to use the cash to make an acquistion.

As long as they don't overpay, I am not against that. They have always shown alot of discipline in sticking to their Core Competancy.
