I was looking for a good investment and stumbled across A&B.

Unfortunately, the most money this company made after my analysis of the financial statements at its website was in real estate development.

That big money is over with for most developers.

Shipping is hard to make money in during a recession especially in the state of the current consumer looking to save and cut back.

I am expecting a very poor year in 2009 and continuing deterioration in 2010. The dividend will probably vanish by first quarter next year or be substantially reduced.

I have no idea where the bottom will be but I will come back in the future and take a look. Probably best to purchase shares after the dividend is cut.
