I own property near the Kukuiula development. This message was sent to owners. I post it here for any comment:

Kukui'ula Village has over 19 signed leases in place. 10 stores/galleries and 9 restaurants. They are have signed "Letter's of Intent" with a Gourmet Grocery/Cafe, West Kauai Medical (Clinic and Pharmacy), additional food uses, gift shops, art galleries, local surf shop and a Jewelry Store.

Soft opening was hopeful for June 30th however permitting and construction delays have pushed it back to the end of summer, most likely September 30, 2009.

Signed Leases include: Bubba's Burgers, Lappert's, Peter Merriman's (2 concepts), Chef Jean Marie (2 concepts), Tortilla Republic & Margarita Bar (2 concepts), Dude Dogs, Scott Hanft Photography, Palm Palm, Bungalow 9, Quicksilver (& Roxy Label), Sunglass Hut, Tommy Bahama, James Hoyle Gallery, Brazil Bazar (bikini's), Art 103 (art gallery) & the Annex (art gifts).

Office space is available, and negotiations are also under way for a Yoga/Pilates studio.

Bubba's Burgers and Lappert's are two of my favorite eating places on Kauai. I can hardly wait.
