I am not sure which default rate you were refering to but I must assume it is the commercial real estate securities.
From the press releases concerning the CRES portfolio: sept 08 past 30 days .99% dec 08 1.67% march 09 2.53% june 09 5.27% so your 7% for this quarter is probably a good guess. It appears at least another rough year lies ahead for commercial real estate in general. Yeah, I was hoping for leveled off CMBS values this quarter, but it was probably just wishful thinking. Let's see what Monday brings and then Tuesday will be real interesting. Have a good weekend all! Rating :
