I absolutely agree. It seems like it might be a rocky ride back to $10, though. I really don't know how these will trade during the next quarter (especially if they don't show some tangible sign of resurgence in 4Q revenues). Of the newspaper companies, though, AHC definitely seems most likely to survive, due to the balance sheet. There is actually a shortterm downside to this, ironically, that impending debt doom has not forced them to slash costs to the extent of some other newspaper companies. Regardless, if you want to read a good debate about top line newspaper industry turnaround (both optimists and skeptics), the MNI board is terrific.

For what it's worth, I worked in Texas media for awhile (on the tv side). I don't see the people of Dallas putting their newspapers out to pasture. I doubt that classifieds ever recover anywhere, though.
