interesting development to see AIV preferred G now close to $25 share par price. Out of capital gain potential as it could get called if its price rose to make the effective yield fall more. As of now I see it at 9.61% yield, while its brother AIV preferred U is at 9.36%, but at 20 with more potential capital gain.

Not that there is a great risk of AIV calling anything now, but I think new money should be invested in preferred U.

The market is saying that AIV is a decent franchise now. Only place to get good movement now in share price is the AIV stock itself. My feeling is that there is a pullback coming. More inclined to sell the preferred than buy the common.
