Ambient have meters that I know of. They have Nodes. Itron has the meters. Duke applied to the ARRA for grants based on the equipment that they where going to spend money on being READY.
Ambient has tested nodes for years. The statement Ambient is in the test phase is very missleading. It is like saying Microsoft and Cisco and IBM is in the testing phase of PC's Routers. They will always test some new hardware and software. But they are already finished testing currect tech. Ambient has already tested the X-2000 nodes, the x-3000 nodes. And are on the standards commettee that set the standard for equipment. Ambient has tested since 2002.

What do you mean they are testing meters? Are you saying Ambient is jumping into the meter business also? Or did you just not know what kind of equipment they sale? I think them jumping into the meter business will make the partners angry!
