Being as the Baltic dry index has been quite weak as of late & the several hundreds of commercial container vessels laying up cold and in deep space nine reduced operating status in the Malacca Straits, this is really a great time to be purchasing bottoms ,...IF they are coincident with your line of business. We find WB buying out a railroad this morning....some how a supposed knowledgeable buyer has some metric he is using to make a transportation purchase decision.

Perhaps ALEX will be replacing their +20 year old Tug Barge unit that hauls sugar and fertilizer back and forth to the Islands?

We also find AES shopping around for some of these LNG carriers that are in a huge glut due to globalization of the N/American gas market by way of that fleet growing so quickly and more put on order as gas for delivery in Europe and Asia reached near $20/MM~BTU 2 years ago. AES like ADM has a very nice cvt preferred that is preferred by many investors. Almost a surrogate MLP company with it's LNG infrastructures to support the power plants it either owns or builds for others worldwide.
