Goldman Sachs: deep-water exploration and acquisitions in the oil industry, an important investment theme

Goldman Sachs believes that deep-water exploration is a 2009 performance of oil stocks the major driving force, and with cooperation between state-owned oil enterprises have good prospects for oil service companies, mergers and reorganization of cause for concern.

Goldman Sachs (Goldman Sachs), in its October report that the energy industry, oil-selective deep-water exploration in 2009 has become the main driver of share price performance, and Goldman Sachs believe that the coming year remains the same. Goldman Sachs particularly close attention to the major oil companies, including deep-water exploration class in Brazil, the Gulf of Mexico and Ghana to Sierra Leone in West Africa along the coast line. Goldman's favorite stocks include Acergy, British Gas Group (BG), Cameron, Devon, Petrobras, Statoil, Schlumberger, Subsea7 and Technip.
