RT To Wired2trade - My Take On DSCO     30-Sep-09 11:40 pm
Wired2trade:

I took a good look at DSCO for you. Very quickly and in a nutshell, I personally would not buy that stock at this point although you might want to keep it on your "watch list". It currently falls considerably outside of the parameters that I typically look for in a potential addition to my present portfolio of micro cap med-tech/healthcare related stocks. The underpinnings for success that stock might enjoy are simply absent and do not attract me in the least. I would not be lured into the stock as many have here recently on the news developments from the FDA on Surfaxin. In my opinion, its far, far too premature to get into DSCO at this juncture. After the present excitement dies down, I believe DSCO could very likely spin its wheels for a considerable amount of time pending final FDA approval for Surfaxin - - - and that in itself is no guarantee for significant share price enhancement. Beyond that, I really question just how big the market might be for Surfaxin.

A stock that you might want to consider that falls into a more mature category in the bio-tech/med-tech field is AngioTech Pharmaceuticals (ANPI). I presently own it and I've been holding and accumulating to the point where I now have a very nice position consisting of 18,000 shares. I might add too that I'm holding it for the long term which I consider to be 12 to 24 months. Its currently selling for $1.73/share. Its a much more mature company with a much wider product mix. We are currently waiting for final FDA approval on Bio-Seal. That action should happen very shortly and its expected to give the share price a real nice lift. ANPI was selling several years ago for around $30.00/share. Its a classic "turnaround" situation and that process is currently under way per their Q1/Q2 reports. The insider buying acitivity in ANPI has been very consistent. Its been nothing short of incredible for a very long time. That's typically a very good sign of better things ahead. In any event, do your own due diligence and decision making before you decide to leap into ANPI - - - and good luck.

PS- I would be totally remiss if I did not put in a plug for ATRC at this point as I believe it too will do extremely well if played over the long term. I own a significant position with it as well and I'm currently holding a 2 bagger - - - my eventual goal is a 4 to 5 bagger.

Cheers and good investing,
