There is another possibility. Citi mentioned in their recent report that there are five relatively large positions that could go to nonperform. AINV has enough in reserve to maintain the dividend but it would hurt to have an investment go npl... I think one of the five is the Innkeepers USA preferred which I think has a 12% coupon. The common stock portion of Innkeepers is already valued near zero as AINV did the deal at the time that private equity was overpaying for hotel assets.
