Targacept got the big lift in AH. Thanks to James C. The stock was around $2.25 per share in July 2009. In the last four months the stock has climbed from $2...to over $20 per share..A 1000% Gain. In AH it is up another 8%. This CEO knows how to raise money. They sold about 2+ million shares for around $21 per share. I like to see sharp firms raise cash when the stock price is High...not Like what ACAD did last Month when we sold shares for ONLY $1.46 per share. It does matter when to decide to issue more shares...smart firms get top dollar and weak firms sell at the bottom. ACAD did not need to tap the CEFF at the bottom...we could have sold at $6 per share and raised 400% MORE CASH. TRGT needs cash...ACAD needs cash....but one firm did it correct and the other made a huge mistake. We pay the CEO over 750K in Year 2008. The numbers are not in for 2009. TRGT may be our competition and perhaps NOT....but they made the Show and our Ceo and the other 27 folks are wondering what the heck hit them. PS...Hacksell was on James program 2-3 times...He will not get a chance because the stock price is way too LOW.
