The firm had their earnings and CC call. Ceo Wells said that a number of deals are in the works. Wells said BVF would not slow its hunt for acquisitions. They are still focused to become a leading CNS large Pharma. Last Year BVF did 5 acquition deals. Ceo Wells said today that they are looking to do between 10-20 deals of varying sizes and shapes....as it sits on $500 million in War chest funds. The Ceo said the deals would focus on products that are in the market or close to market. If that includes ACAD it would be very good news. Re-cap..BVF has one half Billion alotted to do deals. The firm may do 10-20. The size and shape of each deal will be different. They will be in the CNS area....and BVF wants products/compounds that are in the Market NOW or close to Market!!!! we will see if we meet any of that criteria. the BVF CC can be heard on their web site or by transcript.
