It will be interesting to observe if AHL management raises the prospect of renewed capital management in 4Q09 when it holds it quarterly investor conference call this week. Recently, Platinum Underwriters, another Bermuda-based (re)insurer, said on its quarterly call that it had an increased appetite for share repurchase because of an apparent easing in the ability to access capital markets. This is a topic that I and other investors will likely be focusing on.
