Haven't seen any technical analysis on this board re: ATLS so I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. Technical Analysis - the study of price and volume - shows an investor what smart money is doing and can help clarify the sometimes murky speculation around fundamentals. I use fundamentals as well btw. Bottom line: Buy strong stocks on light volume pullbacks and sell at higher prices.

This stock is under heavy accumulation by institutions; volume since the beginning of May has been phenomenal in comparison to anything in this stock's history. In the near term pay particularly close attention to the last 70 minutes of trading on Friday 10/2 culminating with frenzied buying in the last minute on monster volume where the stock moved from $26.48 to a high of $26.75 as the market orders came pouring in closing at $26.61.

On 9/28/09, ATLS broke out of a consolidation following it's prior leg up (7/8 - 8/25/09). That prior leg went from a low of $15.05 to a high of $24.98 = a move of $9.93 in less than 2 months. Looking at the consolidation lows of $20.99 on 9/3/09, a 1:1 move would give us an initial target $30.92. This move is further supported by the lack of any meaningful resistance to that area. Based on the chart pattern, I expect the move to $30+ to occur within the next 5 - 15 trading days depending on the resiliency of the overall market.

$33.76 would be the next target - probably 3+ months out after another retracement/consolidation. If that level is taken out $50+ is a possibility within the next year.
