So you say that this company (which I agree has crushed innovation and technological advancement ruthlessly as corporate policy) prospers only by virtue of having borrowed one iconic idea from a company which survives by its ability to create and market brilliant new twists on old ideas. There may be some truth to that, as we do seem to have descended to the level of "random acts of management" in the field of wireline- unless, of course, its all been a fiendishly clever effort to drive all remaining wireline customers into wireless by virtue of sheer frustration. What you need to remember is that momentum is always a consideration- a really, really BIG P.O.S. which was moving forwards will continue to roll along for quite some time after the driving forces behind it are gone. Of course, the final crash and splatter will be feculantly spectacular if you're right. Time will tell; if the new CEO can survive the inevitable errors on his learning curve, we may yet be able to forstall the final flush for another generation or two.
