Hey, I wasn't trying to be insulting.

I'm right where you are. I don't understand options. So I took my own advice, and I'm not involved in them.

There are several folks I know who dabble in options. Seems they either are bragging because they hit big, or are complaining about the big money they lost.

Me, I buy stocks for retirement. I buy a little every month (drip and 401K). I do a little teaching on the side four months out of the year at a local university. Usually, I buy some value stock with those checks.

My retirement goal is to have an Alpo-free retirement.

The reality is that I'll probably die at my desk (that way my boss will have to deal with me, finally).
