I listened to the CC and Coates was excellent. As an aside, the CFO needs to pep it up a little. I thought he wasnt going to make it through his part of the presentation. Maybe it was an off day or there was a family issue but he didnt cut it from the verbal presentation. In fact, Coates had to literally pick up the call as it fell off the table. Obviously the CFO has done some things right, just pointing out he isnt going to instill public confidence with presentations like that.

Three investors asked some pointed questions but from a thankful perspective in that Coates was finally delivering what he promised. You could tell he had credibility with them. They believed he had them positioned well. They asked the same basic questions we do. Why isnt the stock price higher, how do we get above $1, why isnt the street giving you more credit for the story, etc.

Coates indicated that he saw consolidation opportunities and without trying to misquote I think he said that ABTL could be a catalyst for some of that. He also mentioned license possibilites, discussed the patent portfolio, held off the one investor who wants a buyback (he has wanted the buyback forever), discussed they have a poison pill to limit any investor to 15% (tell that to SLTC, where Trilogy violated the poison pill and now its in court-you all remember Trilogy right?).

So lets say Coates was cautiously optimistic and seemed to hint at some future events but light, very light on specifics or even commiting.

I came away hopeful from the call but I wont chase the stock. Weakness, I would probably add. Maybe at .61-62 and then on any weakness, market selloff, year end tax trading, etc.
