I'm not short or long, I don't buy or hold the shares. I only own shares of two companies and this isn't one of them. I trade in options, more bang (and risk) for the buck that way. Full disclosure...

That said, why is everyone so rabid about shorts? There needs to be two sides to a trade, and sometimes the other side is a short. Brings balance into the market. Yes, a short is betting and hoping for the stock price to drop. I don't see how that's different than a long wanting the price to increase. Can someone help me understand why a short is so evil and seditious? Or is it just because we don't like those who have a different opinion and perspective than our own?
