Our CEO Murphy mentioned that we are nimble and cost-effective. Maybe in some of the other divisions, but certainly not ATK Launch Systems. In all my years in service with them and other companies I have worked for, I have NEVER seen a company so encumbered with so many non-value added forms, rules and management bull@#$%. For NASA programs, such as Shuttle and Aries, this has got to change. Just wait until Augustine gives his report! Can we do it? NO! Our management does not know how, nor do they have the experience. Look where they came from! If ATK had smart people in management, we could lead the way. But we don't, so don't expect it to occur. Great efficiency is easily possible, but they don't have a clue.
