All those figures are true but the reality is the stock has a lot of support from some big players and they are propping it up. Reiteration of revenues and a hint of some momentum gathering gave some hope to investors who may have feared the worst.

I think Minogue had a little bit more swagger during the call yesterday than I can ever remember. He said they are in better position than ever with the registry now up and running, their plan more solidified and a growing number of centers using the impella. He even gently put down the UBS analyst when he asked his negative question. Remember they downgraded ABMD last week before earnings were even released. He seemed to think the slow enrollment of Protect II was no big deal and if it takes another year or so, it will eventually get done.

Obviously the stock is not going to skyrocket to $20 (at least without someone buying them) but it's not going to tank either. Pete
