I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, as I've read the boards several years back. I understand that everyone has opinions, but I'm looking for facts (or the closest thing to it.)
-Why is turnover in sales so high?
-Is the income potential not really what they say it is? (below is what I've gathered from reading the boards; in TX -please correct me if I'm wrong)
1- $60 base + ? (what is realistic in the CURRENT economy?)
2- $90 total
3- $100+ total
-How about at 5 years? 10 years?
-Do the residuals really pay out as clients renew?
-Are people leaving after a year or two because they can't stand the company/don't fit in OR are they being recruited to other companies?
-Is the sales force deliberately lied to or mis-led? Promised a pot of gold that will never exist?
I've worked for several large corporations, and I've learned that no where is perfect. Corporate America is what it is. I still can't figure out what is so bad. Sales isn't for everyone, but I would appreciate any further insight.
