Unfortunately its not simply chemistry, but its also in the mode of action. Cells being cells have millions of years of history on "us" and have multiple redundancy pathways that will only become active when inhibited. So the adage of the more I learn, the more I realize I must learn is the most appropriate. Generally these pathways are gateways to additional ones and therefore not the be-all end-all that everyone in the lay public and even some of the scientists/clinicians are looking for. There is NO CURE for cancer, but an evolving process of learning, sometimes you win and sometimes you don't.... Understand that and you have a segue to understanding Biotech and why there are failures....
