Increasing the cost of electricity is going to be a big problem. First, it obviously impacts the consumer. The more he pays for electricity the less he can pay for other things. Secondly, it is an input into the overall competitiveness of the US economy. If our electricity cost is much higher then China and India (which won't support the same "green" programs) then this just makes us more uncompetitive. The result is more jobs move overseass.
