I realize that doesn't = liking the stock. But I walked into an Ann Taylor store the other day for the first time in a long time and I was favorably impressed. They seem to be sprucing up a bit, looked like a better price point J Crew than the usual blah Ann Taylor.

I think retail stocks will continue to struggle through the holiday season, but if this Ann Taylor makeover is in earnest, it could emerge as one of the stronger stocks in its category.
