AMTC completed their medallion asset sale to TAXI this morning. They are no longer dependent on any bank debt. Their interest rate margin is at an all time high thanks to a low cost of funds and the continued credit crunch. The last 10Q said they had ZERO problem loans.

The preferred stock has already started to move up. The company insiders and the company itself should both be buying common stock with the asset sale complete. The company certainly has plenty of liquidity now and what could be a better usage of funds than buying common stock at less than half of book value for an instant gain?

Why isn't the common stock rallying yet? I guess a seller wants out regardless of the fundamentals (LOL).
