It appears that the steps that are being taken right now within Agilent are setting the stage for yet another divestiture/spin-off.
Will LSCA carry the Agilent brand or will it create a new brand and leave the old one with EMG or will EMG spin off or be sold with some nonsense name like “Vilopogy” or something? In the end what does it mean to preserve a company? Is it the brand? Is it the stakeholders? Is it the employees? Is it the products? Is it the legacy? Is it the country? Is it the CEO? If you spin off all of your product lines, change your name, lay-off all of your employees and sell all of your property and sell off all IP have you successfully “preserved” the company? Rating :
