Since John Chambers is well known for shooting his shareholders in the foot after earnings, his very optimistic forward looking outlook could help lift the tech sector tomorrow if the market doesn't reverse (ok, someone has to go out on a limb here). Although COMS ended slightly down (.94%)after a 4% or so one day increase yesterday, volume was very low before the FED announcement. In other words, there was not a real commitment on the sell side or COMS would have been a lot lower. There is always selling into the close in this stock but trading stayed between 5.25 & 5.30. Some of selling was obviously due to the fact that CSCO was reporting after hours. COMS is finally forming the support needed to move forward. The shorts need about a day and a half to cover. It always surprises me that shorts seem to be smart about when to short but they are not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to covering - hence "short squeeze".
