I'm not back to even money with this one yet, but I think I'll be OK by the end of next year. I've been in since January 2000, when it was over $62/a share. I've had to do some serious DCA on this bad boy! I think the worst is over, and the rest is going to take patience. Will it continue to outperform? That would depend on your point of view on the US economy as a whole. Things looked pretty grim back in 1932, too, but...! When the economy fully recovers from the most devastating blow since the Great Depression, I think WOGSX will be back as one of the favorite no-loads of the market pundit talking heads. The pundits are always behind the curve, though! And seem to lack long-term perspective, too. I like the cards this fund holds...and it's big on holding! Any kind of recovery, and it will move up. Just my opinion, though.

This is absolutely the 2nd worst mutual fund ( Red Oak is the worst) we have ever purchased. My wife has lost 65% of her IRA in this piece of crap. If you have made any money in this fund, take it, run and don't look back!!!!!

I've been holding this one since Y2K, and it's been a tough ride...which is quite an understatement! But, then, the same could be said about the market in general since the Bloodbath of 2002. Oelschlager's no slouch, but the fund is concentrated to, basically, clean house when the domestic and global economies are doing well. When the economies go bust, funds with concentrations like White Oak has (Tech, Health Care, and Financials) get beat up worse than the S&P and Dow averages...it's just a fact of life with a fund like this. Whether or not to buy, keep, or dump it depends on an individuals point-of-view about the economy in the long run - will it once again be runnin' hot, or not? If your outlook for the economy is grim, don't touch this fund!

I have been a shareholder for some time now (over ten years) and I have to say that this strategy (buy-hold, concentrated portfolio) may have worked during the mid to late 90's but now that stock valuations have become more and more difficult to measure I feel that buying SPY is the better bet over the long run.

I have been waiting to dump the shares I own since this fund has been underperforming the last few years. I was going to dump it the end of last year but since Large Caps are due for a good run, I figured it would be better to hold it. I agree that this year, the run should be a category leader.

My only concern is that in the past, when one large cap stock in the portfolio does well, they also seem to have another different stock that moves in the opposite direction causing a net gain of 0. Let's see if that happens again this year.

This fund should do well this year after underperforming for a few years. It has some nice big cap names & relatively cheap expense ratio. Anyone else agree?
