Just a commentary: I hold both funds in my IRA account since both pay good interest rates.
VFIIX very steady NAV, while VWESX pays a higher interest rate on corp bonds, has higher swings in NAV. In the ladder case, best if you dollar-cost average. Bought at the top in 2005 prices over 9+, and now <8, some between 8<x<9. Anybody timed this fund perfect for a large gain? Tell us your secret! Rating :
