After it became apparent that VIPSX was not going to pay a quarterly dividend, I called Vanguard and talked with a rep. I was told some gobbledygook about the rate of inflation not being high enough to cover the expenses of the fund, etc. Next day I sold my VIPSX and bought TIP. I've since then sold and bought TIP twice, locking in profits by taking advantage of short-term price increases/declines which of course, you can't do with mutual funds. I'm awaiting a nice dividend this month and hopefully, more buying/selling opportunities with this ETF.

By the way, I track daily the increase/decrease percentage of VIPSX, VAIPX and TIP. They track almost identically each day; therefore, I don't see a downside at all in going with the ETF. Anybody have a different opinion?
